Tour Highlights
  • The Langkawi Islands, Malaysia’s largest group of islands, consists of 99 islands. It is located in the Strait of Malacca, to the north of Penang Island, and is geographically close to Thailand. The area is 526 square kilometers. The main peak of Mount Wang is 850 meters above sea level.
  • Located in the Strait of Malacca, it is the largest of the 104 large and small islands off the coast of Kedah, Malaysia. Langkawi is about 112 kilometers north of Penang. Administratively, it belongs to the state of Kedah, Malaysia, and is geographically close to Thailand.
  • Langkawi obtained the status of a duty-free port in 1987. Today, the island’s economy is dominated by tourism and is one of Malaysia’s famous tourist attractions.

Due to various legends, the island is shrouded in a mysterious and seductive atmosphere. The historical sites on the island include the site of Langyaxiu, the tomb of Princess Mahsuri, and the authentic relics of Sanbaogong. There are many wild boars on the island. There are galena and marble. The water in Bass Bay Harbor on the south coast of the main island is deep enough to berth huge ships. Kuah on the east coast is the county seat, fishing port, economic and transportation center of Langkawi. Tourists who come to Langkawi for vacation can enjoy water skiing, sea fishing, horse riding, car rides to admire the rural scenery, rubber plantations, small cottages, etc. It has been turned into a national park.
